Our cast iron products have been lightly oiled or have had a wax coating to reduce the risk of rusting.
As Cast Iron is susceptible to rust when exposed to moisture directly or in high humidity, in cases where the product may be exposed to moisture we recommend applying a further suitable finish such as lacquer or varnish.
Oiling will also provide a level of protection.
The use of a lightly oiled cloth, wire wool or brush can be used to remove light corrosion
