These Strong open ceiling hook are heavy and made from cast iron with a antique FINISH finish. – this is a grey pewter colour
Please note exposure to moisture or high humidity the Cast Iron is susceptible to rust , in cases where the hook may be exposed to moisture we recommend applying a suitable finish such as lacquer or varnish and oiling will also provide a level of protection.
Also if you are placing damp /wet items i.e towels directly onto the hooks as above they are susceptible to rusting – please apply appropriate protection
These vintage hooks are sturdy hooks. . A classic cottage style look for the home. Fixing screws are provided.
Our cast iron ceiling hooks are all hand forged. So though similar will not be identical. Each piece is hand finished and are carefully aged for an authentic look.
We have had to source a good foundry to make this hook for us. We use a small foundry that make these for us. The skilled blacksmiths work here are very creative and dedicated to the products they create . There expertise and dedication are evident when you see their finished work. The hooks are hand cast and hand cleaned and finished.
When you receive your delivery you will have the correct amount of fixing screws included to enable you to install your hook correctly. The screws are traditional with a classic antique iron finish, matching your hook perfectly

There is no simple answer to this as it depends on several things, the wall type and the quality of the installation. Cast iron hooks can support significant loads when properly installed.
Fixings are just as important as the hook themselves, we do supply screws, however we do not supply wall plugs – you will require different wall plugs depending on the structure hook are being fitted to.
